This month, Lisa commenced her role as chair of the new HR T-level panel.
Meeting the team for the first time, she said she was really excited to be working alongside an excellent team of experts clearly passionate about ensuring that this new qualification meets the needs of industry, whilst offering a valued entry route to aspiring professionals.
After completing higher education studies as a mature student, Lisa feels strongly that success is achieved primarily through personal drive and quality skills development.
Confirming her view that A-Levels and Apprenticeships will continue to be the best route for many young people, Lisa added that not all 16-18 Year Olds will want to continue with their academic studies or be ready to enter the workplace as an apprentice, T-levels will provide a credible alternative solution.
Work experience continues to be a key factor in preparing young people for work, the work-placement offered as part of the T-levels is a key component, Lisa hopes that many more employers will be willing to get involved.
