The Information Communications Technician occupation is required to deliver efficient operation and control of the IT and/or Telecommunications infrastructure (comprising physical or virtual hardware, software, network services and data storage).
Individual training plans will be discussed and agreed with the individual and employer.
Duration & Delivery
Over 18 Months, the course is delivered through blended learning approaches to include classroom, virtual classroom, online certified technical training and through regular workplace projects and observations.
Structured group training usually takes place bi-weekly with a 1:1 coaching session every 4-6 weeks, unless an alternative approach and schedule has been agreed with the employer.
Entry Requirements
Individual employers will set the entry criteria. Level 2 English and Maths must be achieved, prior to taking the end-point assessment. May require an IT / Technical aptitude test.
